Rich dude refuses to pay $20 cleaning fee for a week of cat-sitting his special needs cat, freaks out when payment is demanded, then abandons the cat on the cat-sitter's front step: 'He never came back for the cat and I have another cat now'

Anybody who has ever owned a special-needs cat knows how big of a responsibility it is. These cats need extra from you. That's true and has always been true. So that is something that has to go into consideration when you adopt a special-needs cat. At first glance, it looks like the man in this story did realize this - the weight of the responsibility of having a cat like this. It seems that he looked for a cat-sitter who specializes in cats who need this little bit extra. But then things take a turn. A weird turn. 

This man, who is clearly well-off financially, seems to have had a problem with paying the $20 that this highly qualified cat sitter was asking for, a price that any cat owner, let alone a special-needs cat owner, should be willing to pay for something like this. He put off paying until the last second, and when the cat sitter put her foot down, he did the most unexpected thing of all.

    At this point I've had it and I just close the door on him. He left immediately cussing me out loudly telling me how he'll destroy my career. A few minutes later I step out to see that he's just left his cat in the carrier there. Right outside my door.

    Long story short, he never came back for the cat and I have another cat now lol. He blocked me from everywhere AND proceeded to drop long a negative reviews through multiple finsta accounts. Anyway, meet Django. I love him.

  • Wow. Just wow. Some people have absolutely no shame. $20 for so much work really is a symbolic price, but we suppose that we should not be surprised about him not wanting to pay it, considering that his solution was to simply abandon his cat on your doorstep. He never cared, and the cat is most likely better off with someone like you.

  • More than anything, right now, we hope this man does not give you any trouble when he gets back, that he doesn't come back asking for his cat. Don't give the kitty to him if he does come back. Stand your ground, the whole internet will have your back. This man should not be a cat owner.
